Inspiration
-The inspiration for the idea came from a huge need that we are facing right now...a vaccine for COVID-19. When hearing that a full vaccine would not be available before 18 months I thought to myself there must be something the tech community could do to help.
What it does
- What I envision for Fied is an application that will allow for the properties of medical drugs to be simulated with the properties of the human body to expedite the testing process of potential vaccines.
-I believe that if we build this technology it will expedite the testing process of drugs that could help to fight off viruses in the human body and efficiently and effectively find vaccines not only for COVID-19, but also any future novel coronaviruses and more. We would no longer need to test on animals and could speed up the clinical trials all while maintaining the ability to understand effects on human body and the safety and effectiveness in preventing infections.
