Inspiration
As current college students ourselves, we found that basing our project off of the Fidelity prompt would also help us learn more about what we could start doing to get a jumpstart on our finances.
What it does
Money Planner takes in user data that is friendly to people of all different financial situations and provides them with a guided track to reach their end financial goals. If users are able to reach their goals they are rewarded in the Fidelity banking system, and if not they are strongly encouraged to continue working with their Money Planner until they reach their base goal.
How we built it
We build a very basic coding prototype using html coding. Unfortunately, without a lot of experience with web development, the full website was not created, but in order to counter act that we have a Canva slideshow where each slide show up until the Money Planner is what the actual website would look like. When the user reaches their Money Planner, it will be based off of their account info but will follow the basic 4 steps presented in the outline.
Challenges we ran into
Coding the website was the biggest challenge because none of us have had true experience with web development.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our slideshow demo because we worked hard to design a visual that we thought would be sophisticated for the user.
What we learned
We learned that solving real world problems are harder than we anticipated.
What's next for Fidelity Personalized Money Planner
