FFF: Fight Fast Fashion

Inspiration

Fast fashion is one of the leading causes to environmental damage through excessive water use, pollution and textile waste. It is inconvenient to continuously take on/off different pieces of clothing to find the best match.

What it does

With FFF, you can easily see how a new clothing item can fit with other items in your wardrobe along with ways you can combine the items in your wardrobe. It helps you rank clothing items for you to see clearly.

How we built it

We used HTML+JS+CSS for the website and used TensorFlow Pose Detection with MoveNet to determine key points.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult to find exactly how the clothing should fit on the image, and it required a lot of fine tuning to make it perfect.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of being able to use the key markings to be able to be able to best fit the clothes onto the image of the person.

What we learned

It is not only important to have a working website but also to make it user friendly and easily accessible.

What's next for FFF: Fight Fast Fashion

Live camera feed, clothing accessories (head bands, hair ties, etc.) and more testing for development. Partnerships with department stores.
