Inspirations

I think I was inspired a lot by social media and a lot of recent posts I've been seeing that address the issue of fast fashion and clothing waste accumulation. I'm also pretty interested in fashion so I took this as a great opportunity to combine something I appreciate with the environment.

What it does

My website is a place where you can get more resources about donating clothes, sustainable. and ethical shopping stores, and where you can also donate your own clothes, and in return, recieve other donated clothes (basically like a trade). In the shop section of my website, you can browse and shop through all the donated clothes we have recieved, and use your credits (explained in the our services section of my website) to buy the clothes for free.

How we built it

I built it using replit and the bootstrap add on. I coded it using mainly HTML.

Challenges we ran into

I haven't used HTML or coded a website in over a year, so I had to use a lot of tutorials from online. But even following tutorials didn't make it 100% easy, as I still ran into a lot of difficulties and errors and had to find out through trial and error.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being able to make this website on my own! This is actually the first website I've made completely by myself.

What we learned

Despite your skill level and how confident you feel in coding, you can still create and learn a lot in the process. There are a lot of tutorials that can teach you to really make anything

What's next for FExchange

I want to learn how to make logins so people can register, and how to incorporate maps that can track packages/cars in realtime so customers can easily track and access where certain things are.
