Inspiration
We are a team of job seekers who also happen to be looking for developer jobs. From discussing some of the problems we faced with job searching, we developed an product that optimizes our search flow. We were inspired by ZipRecruiters' platforms and some of their team members we had the opportunity to chat with.
What it does
FETCH! is a job management tool that organizes and stores job listing data in a database, the user can access this data and set up custom notifications for calendar reminders. We also developed a Chrome Extension tool that imports job data into our database.
How we built it
We used .NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
Challenges we ran into
We had ran into some minor issues in the frontend and backend development with the time constraint.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud we are able to present a demo of our product!
What we learned
We learned about some of the problems that job seekers face and got valuable feedback from the ZipRecruiter team about different solutions we can offer.
What's next for FETCH!
We have a laundry list of other neat features we would like to carry out and hope to have integration with the HR Dashboard. Most importantly, we are looking for funding! :)
