Inspiration

I recently fostered a 6 week puppy and taking care of it was A LOT of work. I decided to think of a contraption for the dog to play with for it to be pre-occupied. So I came up with Fetch! an automated robot that allows your dog to play for how long it wants to!

What it does

This robotic contraption lets your dog play for hour's and lets it run away and relive its energy on it.

How we built it

I used the esp-32 micro-controller to power an ultra sonic sensor to record how far the dog is from the device. To signal the dog is close to the device a red led lights up. Add tonally I wired a dc motor with a 9v battery and a 5v regulator.

Challenges we ran into

This was my first time using Arduino so I had some issues getting familiar with it. But nevertheless I was able to de-bug it and get everything working the way I wanted it to.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Considering this was my first time doing a hardware project I am proud I got all the individual components to work as I had wanted.

What we learned

I learned how to program in C in the Arduino ide. I also learned how to wire different components in the breadboard. Lastly I learned how to read technical data-sheets
