Inspiration

Childhood experiences, noticing the lack of female representation in history which made us want to take action.

What it does

It brings to light the stories of impactful women throughout history who’ve redefined womanhood for future generations.

How we built it

We used the website Replit and used the languages HTML & CSS.

Challenges we ran into

Aligning images with text, organizing content, and finding an aesthetic that fits our theme and topic.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

How much we were able to do given time constraints, our communication and time management skills.

What we learned

From this hackathon, we learned how to effectively work under pressure, brainstorm unique ideas given the theme, divide work, and execute our vision.

What's next for Feminist Archives

We plan to add more inspiring women and overall make the website more interactive, fun, and engaging. We also want to create another section with rising role models and a space where viewers can send in suggestions and comments.
