Inspiration

Anastasia Barner founded her first startup FeMentor at just 20 years old. The first females-only reverse mentoring platform in German-speaking countries, Greece, Romania, and England. She is in talks with partners from big companies like McKinsey and is making herself heard. She wants to be a role model for females in her age and younger. Because 15% of female founders in Germany are not enough.

What it does

Reverse mentoring means that the young woman provides her mentor with individual knowledge, e.g. about Generation Y-Z. As digital natives, they provide valuable insights for YouTube, Instagram, influencers and the like. The USP is the role reversal of mentor and mentee. The young women are the mentors when it comes to social media. But it is not only in this respect that the mentees can shine. As a visual generation, the mentees offer their talents as photographers, designers, programmers in reverse. Instead of money, knowledge flows, because knowledge is power. As a result, there is no disparity between mentor and mentee. The result is an exchange at eye level that is helpful to both. The appreciation of their knowledge gives the mentee self-confidence and the recognition that their knowledge represents added value in this society.
