Inspiration

The world is waking up to something it has always known. Energy is real. The charge you feel walking into a room, the way certain people lift you and others quietly drain you, the difference between a day where everything flows and one where nothing lands. Ancient systems like chakras and Ayurveda have mapped this for thousands of years. Modern psychophysiology is now catching up with the science to prove it. We wanted to build the bridge between those two worlds. A tool that takes the invisible, felt experience of human energy and makes it legible, without reducing it.

What it does

Feeld is the first tool to make the invisible chemistry between people, and within yourself, legible, navigable, and entirely yours to control. It reads five biological dimensions in real time: Openness, Intensity, Stability, Energy, and Focus. Each is derived from two sensor streams, a smart contact lens reading pupil dilation, micro-saccades, blink rate, and intraocular pressure, and a wrist sensor reading heart rate variability, skin conductance, skin temperature, and blood flow. Together they produce your Aura. A living portrait of your nervous system state right now. You can keep it entirely private, share select dimensions with close people at whatever resolution you choose, or open fully to someone you trust completely. The exchange is always mutual. If you are not wearing your sensors, you cannot see anyone else.

How we built it

We started by brainstorming ideas and educating ourselves on the types of senses humans experience, then narrowed in on one common pain point: understanding a person's state of mind. We quickly moved into lo-fi wireframes on Figma, wrote Figma Make prompts, and iterated hundreds of times to get the designs right.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was choosing the right idea. After that, most of our challenges were around Figma Make, specifically learning how to prompt efficiently while managing our credits. There were also a lot of debugging issues. Two of us had some coding experience, which helped a lot. Replicating our Figma designs in Figma Make and getting the animations working was particularly difficult.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we landed on a product we all genuinely love and were deeply curious about. We also learned a lot about this field along the way. Every dimension name, every sensor mapping, every colour has a scientific basis. Nothing is invented. The aura particle system runs live, responds to your real state, and feels genuinely alive. We are proud we were able to accomplish all of this within the time frame, working through the night after an already exhausting spring trip.

What we learned

We learned how important it is to think systematically when working with AI. To think beyond screens and UI and go deeper, because the best ideas always come from personal experience, even when you are imagining the future. And even though AI can automate a great deal, a human's touch and creativity will always be needed.

What's next for Feeld

To collaborate with scientists and explore how smart contact lenses could actually work as wearables. That would be so cool.
