Abstract:
“Name” is a platform that is developed to leverage ESRI’s leadership and expertise in geospatial analytics to help answer neighborhood questions. The platform is designed to deliver neighborhood characteristics in a visually comprehendible form. The goal of “Name” is to provide insightful and meaningful data about the characteristics of a given city so it’s users are better equipped to find a home that ensures they are most comfortable living in.
The data “Name” provides its users ranges from cultural demographic density, to local safety. As well as other constraints the user feels are important to consider when evaluating their home living location. The issue we see “Name” solving is one where home buyers and renters don’t get a full sense of what it is like to live in a given area until months after making the decision and living there. “Name” provides users with the next best thing to this which is to provide the information people really care about when making a living situation decision.
Unlike traditional applications that identify homes based primarily on price ranges, ‘Name’ provides its users with an opportunity to input parameters that are most desirable to them and set ranges for the same to identify ‘locations’ or ‘areas’ that best fit those ranges. Based on analysis, insights will be provided on the identified locations which understating the suitability of the location as a potential living area.
