Inspiration

The inspiration for FeedWise AI came from witnessing the inequality in livestock nutrition knowledge across Kenya. During a visit to rural farming communities, we met Mary, a dairy farmer in Kiambu County, who spent 60% of her income on commercial feeds but achieved only 8 liters of milk per day. Her neighbor John, using locally available feeds and better nutrition knowledge, achieved 25 liters at half the cost.

This gap revealed a critical insight: many African farmers feed the continent but struggle to feed their livestock optimally. Most rely on guesswork, leading to poor animal health, low yields, and reduced income. The vision became clear โ€” what if every farmer had a livestock nutritionist in their pocket?
