Inspiration

August Ehrlich. He is one of our team members and has a great appreciation for "Pocket".

What it does

Aggregates content from your favorite sources and personalizes it into one clean, ad-free feed.

How we built it

Sweat, Blood, Tears, and a lot of bathroom breaks.

Challenges we ran into

Creating models, views, and serializers in Django for Mongo. We also had considerable trouble hosting both the frontend and backend on AWS using an EC2 server.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We actually have a functioning web app that was built from scratch. We have visions and space to expand.

What we learned

Progress is not linear. Sometimes you may find yourself bashing your head against a problem, and you can only hope the problem breaks first.

What's next for FeedStream

Finish implementing the rest of the basic features after the Hackathon and get user feedback from future users.
