Inspiration

One day, I was lazy and I didn't know what to eat. So I said hmmm, I wish there was a big red button I could press that would deliver food right to my apartment door. And so, then I thought more and more about it and realized that building an app that does this would be possible with small team of skilled coders.

What it does

Feed Me selects a random restaurant and then, randomly orders a number of items from said restaurant depending on your party's number of people.

How I built it

The key component was the interfacing between all the different websites. Which we implemented fairly quickly thanks to the built-in Android browser.

Challenges I ran into

We needed to figure how to directly modify active websites, Another challenge was JavaScript raise conditions. Learning JavaScript over the course of the weekend. Trying to manipulate an existing enterprise-level website, with each website having it's own unique structure.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Being able to create a simple app, user-friednly app that accomplishes our apps intended goals.

What I learned

Android and that we could also inject JavaScript directly as a URL. We also learned how to handle JS raise conditions. And grew in our app architecture skills.

What's next for FeedMe

Implementing more and more restaurants into our system around the local Ames area. Followed by a release on the GooglePlay Store. Smoothing out bugs as they come. To see our project's website please visit the link below... http://tiffzhang.com/startup/?s=816379249328
