FeedMap is an application that allows social media users to share local news that can be visualized on Google Maps. This utility is primarily targeted towards residents of Pakistan and will enable them to report and plot current issues such as protests, election rigging, bomb blasts, or any other pressing events. For example, in the case of Twitter users, each tweet will have its geocoordinate highlighted on a map, and will be displayed among other local tweets on the sidebar. This will include a commenting system where other users can reply to the tweets or approve/refute them based on the tweet's authenticity.

We plan to use our product to not only increase awareness of local issues, but to also engage users in voicing out their opinions and participating in active discussion. By collecting information about areas that are often overlooked by the media, we will allow marketers, investors, and government agencies to take advantage of the data that we collect.
