Inspiration

The inspiration for Feedloop came from the increasing need for businesses to gather, analyze, and act on customer feedback efficiently. In today’s fast-paced environment, business owners often find themselves overwhelmed by the volume of feedback and unsure how to derive actionable insights. We wanted to create a solution that not only simplifies the feedback collection process but also utilizes artificial intelligence to enhance data analysis, allowing businesses to understand their customers better and make informed decisions.

What it does

Feedloop is a SaaS platform designed to help business owners easily collect and analyze customer feedback. Key features include:

• Dashboard: Provides a comprehensive view of feedback metrics, including total feedback, sentiment analysis, and word clouds.
• AI-Powered Summaries: Automatically summarizes feedback to highlight key insights.
• Customizable Feedback Widgets: Allows users to customize the look and feel of feedback collection tools to match their branding.
• Seamless Integration: Users can integrate Feedloop into their websites with a simple line of code or share feedback via direct links and QR codes.
• AI Assistant: Users can interact with an AI-powered chatbot to explore feedback data and receive actionable recommendations.

How we built it

We built Feedloop using Next.js for its powerful server-side rendering capabilities, allowing us to create a fast and responsive user interface. Tailwind CSS was utilized for styling, enabling us to implement a modern and customizable design effortlessly. We used MongoDB with vector search capabilities for our database to store feedback data securely and efficiently. The integration of OpenAI enabled us to harness advanced AI capabilities for summarizing feedback, while LangchainJS helped us manage and streamline interactions with our AI models.

Challenges we ran into

Building Feedloop came with its share of challenges:

• AI Integration: Integrating OpenAI for feedback summarization posed challenges, particularly in ensuring accurate and relevant outputs.
• User Experience: Designing an intuitive user interface that accommodates various customization options while remaining user-friendly required extensive iteration and user testing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re incredibly proud of several accomplishments:

• Successfully integrating AI capabilities that provide users with meaningful insights from feedback data.
• Creating a highly customizable widget that allows businesses to maintain their branding while collecting feedback.
• Launching a functional MVP (Minimum Viable Product) within the hackathon timeframe, which has already received positive feedback from initial users.

What we learned

This experience has taught us invaluable lessons:

• User-Centric Design: Engaging potential users early in the development process helped us refine our features and ensure they meet real needs.
• Agility: The necessity of being adaptable and responsive to challenges is crucial in a fast-paced development environment.

What's next for Feedloop

Looking ahead, we plan to:

• Enhance AI Features: Further improve our AI summarization capabilities and expand the AI Assistant to offer deeper insights.
• Mobile Compatibility: Develop a mobile version of Feedloop for easier access and feedback management on-the-go.
• Expand Integrations: Add more integrations with popular platforms (e.g., Shopify, WordPress) to reach a wider audience.
