Inspiration

What it does

It acts much like other map apps in that it takes your location and finds any establishment that provides free food. Under details about each of these location is a list of qualifications to get food from that place, dietary restrictions that they cater towards, and more. There are also pages with helpful information regarding programs that the user may be eligible for, a donation page, a volunteering registration page, and a settings page to manage the whole app.

How I built it

Challenges I ran into

This was my first time using Figma so it was a race to learn all the ways that it works. It was also a challenge on finding a way to generalize all the information taken as this app caters to all food bank style establishments not just banks of a specific corporation.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud how quickly I was able to iterate this app on paper and then create an actual app.

What I learned

I learned that it is difficult to attempt to cover all aspects of what a user many encounter. Had I had more time I would have been able to test this app but because I could not I had to manage different viewpoints in my head.

What's next for feedingALL App

I do not think that this app has enough resources as of now. I hope to educate myself more on the topic and include more so that it is more helpful.
