Inspiration

The idea for Feedback.ai was born from a frustrating experience at home. One day, my dad arranged for house cleaning services. Unfortunately, the cleaners arrived late, disrupting our routine, and to make matters worse, the service person was rude. Despite feeling dissatisfied, we didn’t report the issue or provide feedback—like many others, we skipped the rating section and moved on with life.

Later, while attending ETHBangkok, we got our hands on the Omi Necklace. Upon returning, I brainstormed ideas for a practical use case. While sharing the concept with peers, I faced concerns about recording conversations without consent, which led me to explore how consent could be integrated into a user-centric solution.

The house cleaning incident came back to mind. I realized this was the perfect scenario to address a widespread issue - service providers often miss out on actionable feedback because users either skip reviews or don’t bother reporting experiences. This gap inspired us to create Feedback.ai, a platform to simplify and generate real-time, user-consented feedback, empowering service providers to learn and improve while ensuring customer satisfaction.

What it does

Feedback.ai offers a feedback mechanism service powered by the Omi necklace, which is designed very well to seamlessly integrate into the uniforms of service providers. This solution is ideal for domestic service providers and extends to other sectors like hospitality, industrial settings, and beyond, ensuring real-time, user-consented feedback to drive improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.

How we built it

The Omi Necklace is at the core of Feedback.ai, capturing and transcribing conversations between customers and service providers. We process these transcripts using Gemkini's Nano-powered Summarization API, which analyze the conversation into meaningful insights. Additionally, sentiment analysis is applied to assess the tone and satisfaction levels, converting this data into actionable textual feedback and star ratings. These ratings can be adjusted based on multiple parameters to suit different needs in the future.

To ensure user privacy, we do not store the transcripts of conversations. Instead, all feedback and ratings are securely stored on Filecoin, a decentralized data storage platform, ensuring transparency, security, and trust without compromising personal information. This approach enables us to provide an accurate, privacy-conscious feedback system for service providers across various industries.

Challenges we ran into

The docs are work in progress and we were looking for a starter kit for integrating the API also a list of API endpoints to get the transcripts would enable more third party integrations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Ideating the idea, building the prototype. Our aim was to fit the omi necklace in existing applications so that we dont need to look out for customers and we get customers for Omi necklace as well as Feedback.ai from day 1. We hope to inspire such use cases.

What's next for Feedback.ai

Our next goal is to enhance the capabilities of Feedback.ai by integrating more advanced AI models, creating a robust framework using Filecoin and Omi. This will evolve into a protocol that can be easily integrated by third-party applications, enabling seamless feedback collection across various industries. The ultimate vision is to make the feedback process not only more efficient but also user-friendly, giving businesses and service providers a powerful tool to improve their services while ensuring transparency, privacy, and security.
