The idea for "feed." sparked from looking at global tech macro-trends and noticing a strange disconnect: despite living in an era of hyper-capitalism, no one was connecting social networks with utility apps to let utility management directly handle the very products being advertised on our feeds. We saw a growing societal shift toward staying in, driven by different demographics: busy young professionals working long hours to stand out in competitive cities, tech-savvy older generations who prefer the safety of home delivery, and university students relocating multiple times across different cities. To solve this, our team of three students, who previously bonded while representing Bologna in cybersecurity competitions, decided that building something together would be even more fun than hacking it. Transitioning from cybersecurity to fast-paced software development was our biggest challenge; we had never written code together, the deadline was ruthless, the late night was endless, and the tech stack was completely out of our comfort zone. Yet, we managed to be efficient, reacting to uncertainty under pressure without ever losing our sense of humor or stopping the laughs. Through this intense experience, we learned a simple but powerful lesson: in the right environment, you can truly learn anything at an unexpected speed. Although this was the first hackathon for two of us, we are already planning our next ones together. Today, however, we want to learn one more thing: is our idea truly as promising as we think, or do we need to pivot and invent something else? Judges, you have our contacts, please let us know!
