There is a market need for traceability of shipments involving different modes of transportation. SIMPLE was born with the objective of addressing this need by providing a common platform that integrates events and data generated during the transportation of goods.
For this Hackathon, we have created a simulation of the events that occur in road transport and that are stored and distributed within SIMPLE. Additionally, we have utilized semantic technology supported by the FEDeRATED project, in which SIMPLE participates.
The main challenges we have faced include gaining access to the platform provided by TNO with the FEDeRATED nodes since only one of us had a personal laptop that allowed the connection. Furthermore, another significant challenge has been the need to develop a Python form to simulate events in a single day, which we have successfully achieved.
We have obtained valuable insights into how the FEDeRATED node and the GraphDB database work, which will enable us to continue our project by interoperating with other platforms in the FEDeRATED project.
