Inspiration
I was inspired to make a horror game because of the fact that we all have some form of fear. Fear also is a emotion you can easily get the players to feel in virtual reality so I definitely wanted to take advantage of the realism. It made me also want to do a shooter horror game revolving around feared entities like tarantulas, snakes, and clowns because many people do fear them.
What it does
My game is a VR immersive interactive horror game which lets the player jump into a dark thrilling world. Surviving is the main goal and of course having a fun experience at the same time.
How I built it
I built it with Unity using C# and SteamVR.
Challenges I ran into
I ran into many challenges like having lack of faith in being able to finish the project and letting the errors get to me. Yet I overcame these challenges. I am now definitely much more knowledgeable and strong minded than when I started this project.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I am proud to have finished it and glad I was able to ship it. I now know that I can definitely make a VR game and I know my next VR game will be even better.
What I learned
I learned so much that I still can't believe I have created a playable VR game and it is now out in the world to be played by others. I learned how to use Unity, C#, and SteamVR well enough to be able to make my ideas come to life which is so awesome.
What's next for Fear VR
There are some things I want to add onto Fear VR to make it even better so some updates will definitely be coming.
