Inspiration

Both of us are student DJs at WPRB Princeton, and there are rules governing what words you can say on air.

What it does

Takes input from audio files, processes them, and outputs them to a csv file, which is then interpreted by our program to detect how many FCC violations have occurred.

How we built it

Using Arduino, Python, and Google's Speech-To-Text API

Challenges we ran into

Google's codebase is very dense

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Exporting to CSV files and working with Google's codebase

What we learned

How to use Google's codebase, how to interface with Arduino using Python, how to effectively use Git

What's next for FCC Regulator

Integrating everything into one coherent system
