What it does
It is a website whose purpose is to encourage people to join FBLA at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus. The website has an information section which explains what FBLA is as an organization and why people should join the club. There is a board member section that displays the current leaders of the club(Me Included). There is a gallery section that displays pictures of competitions, workshops, events, meetings, interviews, and games that FBLA has organized over the past few years. Finally, there is a join section that has 2 links, one of them for the club's WhatsApp group and another one for our SharkNet page, which is a system that Miami Dade College uses for keeping track of clubs and their members.
How we built it
I built this by myself from scratch using React along with TypeScript. First I went to Figma so I could create a design prototype so that I could have a design to follow, and then I coded the website over the duration of the hackathon. I tried to keep a somewhat modern aesthetic and add smooth animations.
What's next for FBLA?
From now on, this is the website that we will use to promote the club to new members.
