Inspiration

We saw how in modern day society, individuals that suffer from problems are not getting the full attention they need. We also took to notice how due to the lockdown and pandemic individuals are overwhelmed with emotions and suffer from loneliness leading to depression and in some cases suicide.

What it does

The app serves as a barrier between individuals in situations such as sexual assault, domestic violence, suicidal attempts and depressions(for now) and hotlines in their country. by just filling in your details you have gained access to hotlines in your country who will be able to assist you and guide you towards your next step. The app doesn't just render access to hotlines as its only service it also gives you the opportunity to interact with anonymous individuals through our community chat especially if you have trouble talking to individuals over the phone.

How we built it

Once we established our concept, we built using figma and the skills we ascertained from the intro to figma class

Challenges we ran into

We as a team had troubles having group meetings together. This challenge was later resolved.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We as team are proud of how well we where able to design a prototype for our app within a short period of time using figma even though it was our first time with using it.

What we learned

We learnt how to pitch an idea, we learnt how to use figma, we learnt how to come up with an idea and we learnt how to work together as a team to yield good result.

What's next for FATE

We are looking towards making it widely recognized and expanding its reach and to partner up with other organizations whose goals are to also cater for the mental health of individuals
