Inspiration

For my project, I was inspired to make a unified payment app where I could easily manage all of the payments in my life, from purchases to subscriptions to sending money to a friend.

What it does

My app enables easy and fast transactions between people, providing a unified interface to track all your transactions.

How we built it

The key framework for this application was Kotlin Multiplatform. I chose this because its drastically simplifies and improves the experience of developing cross platform applications, allowing code reuse and reliability across different devices. It reduces the time you spend writing and maintaining the same code for different platforms while retaining the benefits of native programming.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge I ran into was the steep learning curve of Android develop. It took me a while to get a solid understanding of the mobile paradigm and navigate the mix mash of ancient legacy docs and lack of docs for new features.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am really proud of my QR code scanner. I spent a lot of time trying to make it really polished and satisfying to use, while still making it a fast experience. The generated merchant QR codes are also super fun.
