Inspiration

I found that the intermittent fasting apps that were available did not suit me and in order to scratch that itch I developed an app for myself.

What it does

Lets you set up a fasting schedule and lets you monitor your progress in real-time with a sleek timer. The premium subscription allows you to view insights and statistics for your fasts per year.

How we built it

Swift, SwiftUI, SwiftData, RevenueCat

Challenges we ran into

The challenge was getting through app review but after 3 rejections because of missing metadata, it was finally approved. A lot of this was due to me not knowing or understanding the rules around subscriptions and what information needed to be present in the app description.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting an app completed and in the App Store in 1 month alongside a full-time job ;-)

What we learned

I learnt a lot about subscriptions as this is my first app that isn't using the Paid-upfront model.

What's next for Fast+

I'd like to make the insights even more browsable - per month, per week etc instead of just per year. I also want to add themes, support custom fasting and add sharing.
