Inspiration

Choosing what to wear every day can be surprisingly stressful. Many people repeat outfits, struggle with color combinations, or feel unsure about dressing for different occasions. I wanted to reduce this daily decision fatigue by creating an AI-powered personal stylist that feels friendly, accessible, and practical. FashionMate was inspired by the idea of making fashion guidance available to everyone—instantly and effortlessly.

What it does

FashionMate is a personal App stylist that suggests outfits based on user preferences, mood, occasion, and context. It provides: Daily outfit recommendations Occasion-based styling advice (office, casual, party, events) Color combination and accessory suggestions Simple explanations on why a particular outfit works The goal is to help users feel confident and well-styled without overthinking.

How we built it

FashionMate was built using Google AI Studio with the Gemini 3 Flash model as the core AI engine. The application uses a structured input approach, where users select options such as feeling, occasion, and signature style through buttons. These selections are combined into a contextual request that is sent to Gemini 3 Flash, which then generates a complete outfit recommendation.
