Inspiration: Choosing outfits every day and packing for trips can be time-consuming and stressful. Many people own a lot of clothes but still struggle to decide what to wear or what to pack. We wanted to build an AI-powered fashion assistant that makes these decisions easier and more personalized.

What it does: FashionAI is a smart wardrobe management and styling platform that helps users:

Store and organize their wardrobe digitally Receive AI-powered outfit recommendations Generate personalized travel packing lists Plan outfits based on their existing clothing collection Reduce overpacking and improve wardrobe utilization How we built it

The project was built using:

React.js for the frontend Node.js and Express.js for the backend MongoDB Atlas for database management Google Gemini AI for outfit and travel recommendations

The application allows users to add wardrobe items, manage their collection, receive styling suggestions, and generate AI-powered packing plans for trips.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was integrating AI recommendations with user wardrobe data while ensuring the suggestions remained practical and personalized. We also worked on creating a clean and user-friendly interface that makes wardrobe management simple and enjoyable.
