     For the longest time, I was an absolute fashion disaster. Socks and sandals was acceptable attire only because I didn't know it wasn't. My desire for an engaging platform that would expose me to the latest trends and help me build my own style led me to create Fashioncents.me. Unlike any other platform, Fashion Cents helps you make money passively by including affiliate links in your 'Outfit Post'. Users impressed by your choice of clothing may very likely purchase those clothes through the sites you direct them to. For example, Amazon gives you about 8% in commission for each directed sale. The site also includes data analytics regarding the money you make through affiliate links. Additionally, Fashion Cents brings like minded individuals in our community together under a common interest.  

      I built this website using html, css, javascript, bootstrap, jquery and sublime, a text editor. Achieving a clean and sleek design was a challenge that took several hours to overcome. I am proud that as a one person team I was able to come up and implement an original idea. I was also able to ensure that this site is mobile friendly. I learned several concepts regarding design, user experience, and functional development. In the future, Fashion Cents should become a more established platform with a fully functional backed database. By shifting the role of advertisement of clothing from photoshopped corporate models to average citizens, Fashion Cents will undoubtedly improve body positivism and confidence.
