FART MATCH is a mobile match-3 puzzle game where players solve increasingly challenging levels using strategic matches and powerful boosters.
The game includes:
Match-3 puzzle gameplay Multiple level objectives Combo mechanics Powerful boosters Reward and progression systems Daily rewards In-game shop Polished UI, animations, and visual effects
The goal was to create a fun, humorous, and engaging experience suitable for mobile players.
🛠️ How we built it
FART MATCH was developed in Unity using C#.
Throughout development I used Codex and GPT-5.6 to accelerate programming, prototype gameplay systems, debug code, optimize performance, improve UI interactions, and rapidly iterate on new ideas.
AI also helped me generate implementation approaches, refine game systems, and improve development efficiency while I remained responsible for the overall design, technical decisions, and final implementation.
🚧 Challenges we ran into
Building a polished match-3 game involves much more than matching tiles.
Some of the biggest challenges included:
Designing responsive gameplay mechanics Creating smooth combo and booster interactions Balancing level difficulty Optimizing performance on mobile devices Building reusable game systems Creating polished UI animations and visual feedback
Using Codex allowed me to solve many technical challenges much faster through rapid iteration and experimentation.

I'm proud that FART MATCH evolved into a complete, polished mobile game rather than just a prototype.

This project showed me that AI is far more than a code completion tool.
Working with Codex and GPT-5.6 improved my productivity, accelerated problem-solving, and allowed me to prototype and iterate much faster.
The biggest lesson was that AI works best as a development partner, while creative direction, design decisions, and implementation remain in the hands of the developer.
