Inspiration

Well, I am not a farmer to know what they suffer from, neither an agriculture expert to know a lot in this domain, but I am a software engineer, and I think that we can solve problems even if they are not in our domains, it will just take us couple minutes to get the problems, and then we can make a digital solution.

What it does

My mobile application does a lot, It can give you statistics about weather and temperature, generaly stats about the climate of the farm! It detect locusts if there are any, using captors and sensors. You can check your farm using a drone that will be remoted using the mobile application He can check the price of the market based on sell prices and buy prices in the market of agriculture and its give you an optimal price for you product By signing up in the application, you are automatically joining a social media(community) for farmers in order to exchange advices and information.

How I built it

The applications mainly a mobile application and it will support multiple platfroms such as IOS ANDROID and Windows Phone, the platform will also be joinable by pc as a website but the most features will be in mobile since it is the one that will be often used for farmers. The technologies that will be used in developing the application doesnt really matters as much as the final product does, also it will be based on an IOT system, AI and Machine learning techniques.

Challenges I ran into

there is not enough time to develop the entire application.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Well, Basically last year in devoxx winning a national challenge is a proud itself. I also got some good reviews from attendes, when I asked them about my idea, and I am proud of that.

What I learned

I have learned a lot , work in short time to build the app and also to never lose hope . and technically I have learned how to integrate some technologies into Farmers app etc..

What's next for Farmers

My goal by making this app (Farmers),is to make farmer's life easier and save them time on searching for expensive ways.
