Inspiration

The main inspiration behind this idea is due to the exploitation of farmers in terms of profit generation for there products because of the long supply and complicated chain of harmful mediator who directly contribute in increasing the price of commodity for the consumers at the same time providing lower profits to the farmers which ultimately leads to exploitation of both producers and consumers which we wish to eradicate.

What it does

It improves the current supply chain from the producers to the consumers by removing entities like traders ,wholesalers and distributer by providing producers a platform to present there product in public using the concept from social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram to the customers where one can like and dislike the deal posted by the respective producers.

How I built it

The complete app was built using flutter and firebase with three main components authentication , location feature , product posting , calling via dialer by using flutter widgets along side firebase real time database management system for performing CRUD application by these components for the entire application.

Challenges I ran into

• At first managing the user on the database as well as user behaviour for the app for UI.
• Connecting and retrieve the information between the flutter components with each other.
• Have to think to add location based classification feature to classify products posted by user available various location.
• In making the decent presentation.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

If our idea get popular it has the capacity to save the life of millions of farmers because of exploitation of his skills and his product.

What I learned

• Learnt to work in team even in pandemic situation even staying at remote locations and time management

What's next for Farmerly

After the proper funding and support for our idea Farmer.ly has the capacity to impact millions of life by changing the market impacted by consumers and producers so that prices of commodity can decrease and production of raw material from farmers could increase the economy of any country especially developing countries like South Africa ,India.
