Inspiration

I was inspired by the winners of the last Hack@CEWIT. And I used sustainability as my topic.

What it does

It is a JavaFX app where consumers can buy farm products directly from the producer who are farmers. This app aims to connect farmers and consumers without any other middle man which can reduce the cost of the product and offer fresh and organic products to the consumers. The app also has a built in ChatGPT, so consumers can get food recipes and the required ingredients for the meal.

How we built it

I used JavaFX, FireBase, and OpenAI api.

Challenges we ran into

I have faced challenges while connecting to the Firestore database and OpenAI api. Another challenge I have ran into is that the time limit, since I was working by myself I had to work and code more than normally.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud that I have created and build a project with ChatGPT api in a very short time period. I'm also proud that I have managed work under stressful environment with lack of sleep and comfort.

What we learned

I learned that the teamwork is very important, and even every member of the team can work on something that would make a project easier for others. And I learned that creating a project in a short time is possible if no documentation is required.
