Inspiration

Growing up in farming communities, we witnessed how valuable traditional gatherings were for knowledge sharing. However, we also saw these communities struggling to maintain connections in our digital age. This inspired us to create a platform that preserves the spirit of farmer gatherings while leveraging modern technology.

What it does

Farmer Community is a digital platform that connects farmers through a multilingual chatbot, educational content, and community features. It offers instant farming advice, video tutorials, an e-commerce section for tools, and a space for farmers to share experiences.

How we built it

We developed the platform using React and Node.js, integrated Azure's AI services for the multilingual chatbot, and built a robust database system using MongoDB. The voice search feature uses WebSpeech API, while the content management system is powered by Strapi.

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring the platform works seamlessly in low-connectivity areas
