About the Project

Inspiration Our team was inspired by a simple but urgent question:

Why do millions of pounds of edible produce go to waste while communities face rising rates of food insecurity and poor health outcomes? We imagined a platform that uses GeoAI + AI decision-making to reroute surplus produce from growers to underserved neighborhoods in real time.

What We Learned - GeoAI mapping to identify food deserts and high-need zones - AI optimization models for equitable routing - Data ethics and bias reduction - Cybersecurity for trust and privacy - Designing for accessibility, multilingual needs, and low-tech users

How We Built It

  1. Gathered Data
  2. GeoAI Processing
  3. AI Decision Engine
  4. Secure System Design
  5. UI/UX Layer

Challenges We Faced

  • Data fragmentation
  • Bias in environmental and health data
  • Balancing simplicity with accuracy
  • Ensuring ethical use
  • Cybersecurity considerations
  • Computational limits

Our Vision This project shows how AI, geography, and ethical design can uplift underserved communities by making health and environmental systems more transparent and equitable.
