Inspiration
30% of food gets bad or becomes of low qualify before even getting into a plate.Also some people have nothing to eat for even days.Thats why we decided to come up with this to help those with no food get food and those whose products are almost going bad donate it instead of it going to waste.
What it does
It connects donors and sellers to buyers and those in need of food.
How we built it
We created an android app by using react native.Established a database at supabase.We also tried to gather information from the internet to establish if we were solving a worthy problem.
Challenges we ran into
Compressed time schedules. Lot of hours coding during development phase. prior knowledge of creating an app was not proficient.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
An app that works.If deployed it will hep people get access to food easier and faster.
What we learned
Teamwork is key. Elevated our skills in coding and app development.
What's next for Farm2Table Connect
Market research. Introducing it to users. More features and functionality. Intergration of security features and data privacy.
