Inspiration Farming faces numerous challenges, from labor shortages to unpredictable weather and inefficient resource use. We wanted to create a solution that empowers farmers with real-time insights, precision automation, and AI-driven decision-making to optimize yields and sustainability.

What It Does Farm Flight integrates AI-powered drones with advanced imaging and analytics to provide:

Automated Crop Monitoring: Uses high-resolution cameras and sensors to track crop health, detect diseases, and analyze soil conditions. Precision Spraying & Seeding: Reduces waste and improves efficiency by targeting specific areas with fertilizers, pesticides, or seeds. Predictive Analytics: AI models forecast yields, identify problem areas, and recommend actions based on historical and real-time data. Remote Field Surveillance: Enables farmers to monitor their fields from anywhere, improving security and oversight. How We Built It Hardware: Custom-built drone system equipped with multispectral and thermal cameras, LiDAR sensors, and GPS modules. Software: Developed using Python, TensorFlow, and OpenCV for AI-driven image analysis. Integrated with cloud-based dashboards for data visualization. Connectivity: Uses IoT and edge computing for real-time processing and transmission of data to farmers via a mobile/web app. Challenges We Ran Into Hardware Integration: Calibrating various sensors to work seamlessly together. AI Model Training: Ensuring accurate plant disease detection required extensive labeled datasets. Regulatory Compliance: Navigating airspace restrictions and legal requirements for drone deployment.
