Inspiration: The agriculture industry is essential for feeding the world's population, but it faces many challenges such as climate change, unpredictable weather patterns, pests, and diseases. To help farmers overcome these challenges, we came up with the idea of building an AI-based farming website called Farm Era. Our goal is to provide farmers with the latest technology and tools to improve their farming practices and increase their yields.
What it does: Farm Era is an AI-based farming website that provides various services to farmers using machine learning, weather forecasts, pest detection, and farming policies provided by the government. Our website provides real-time weather information, including temperature, rainfall, and humidity, which can help farmers make informed decisions about their crops. Using machine learning, our website can predict weather patterns, identify pests and diseases in crops, and provide farmers with tailored solutions to these problems.
Farm Era also provides farmers with information on the latest farming policies and regulations from the government, enabling them to comply with these policies and make better decisions about their crops. Additionally, our website offers a marketplace for farmers to buy and sell their products, reducing the need for intermediaries and increasing profitability.
How we built it: We built Farm Era using various tools and technologies, including Python for machine learning algorithms, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the website's frontend, and cloud services for hosting and deployment. We also used APIs for weather forecasts, pest detection, and other services.
Challenges we ran into: One of the biggest challenges we faced was integrating various APIs and services into our website seamlessly. We also had to ensure that our machine learning algorithms were accurate and provided meaningful insights to farmers. Additionally, we had to ensure that our website's design was user-friendly and easy to navigate.
