Inspiration
After attending the workshop by Steel City Codes, I am greatly inspired to use AI in solving the problems in our community. Recently many farmers have been facing problems due to bad harvest. I want to solve their problem with an AI approach.
What it does
So FARM Buddy is an user friendly application accessible for both android and windows users. The farmers who have access to mobile phones and internet can get help from FARM BuDDy. Basically our application will take in soil detail inputs which farmer would have obtained from the regional soil testing facility and will process it ti suggest suitable fertilizer and its amount and also the variety of seed for the chosen which the farmer should use for better harvest. It can also provide farmer the upcoming weather detail and can suggest appropriate irrigation methods.
How I built it
This is a conceptual project which can be implemented. I would like to convert it into a working prototype within some days. but for now its a design project.
Challenges I ran into
While brainstorming, It was a bit difficult to find the appropriate utilization of AI while keeping the topic(Sustainability) in mind.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I finally have the complete base idea and concept. With the help of coding and UI designing i can prototype it easily.
What I learned
I learned a lot about AI and its application during my research for the project and also during the workshop.
What's next for FARM BuDDy
for next, i would surely like to convert my idea into a working prototype.
