Inspiration
We are inspired by the prospect of Citizen Science, we believe that anyone can be a scientist.
What it does
Faraday is a decentralized data sharing network where any user can contribute data and any institution can request data. The institution/employer requests data by creating a request and paying for a set amount of data entries. The money used to pay for the data request will be redistributed evenly amongst the citizen scientists to encourage user agency and create a positive ecosystem within the service.
How we built it
We built this website with Django, Bootstrap, Arbot.js, Chart.js, Escape.js, CSS, HTML, jQuery, Graphics.js, jVectorMap.js.
Challenges we ran into
Connecting Back-end to Front-end, Manipulating data was hard as statistics is a new concept for us, Creating ecosystem for two separate users doubled the work in back-end and front end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of implementing a Hodge podge of frameworks into a sleek, minimal, and interactive user experience.
What we learned
We learned a variety of frameworks as well as mastered concepts such as full stack development in these languages.
What's next for Faraday
