Inspiration
A decentralized collaborative canvas on the Fantom network. This project is inspired by a Reddit project called r/place. The experiment involved an online canvas on which users could edit by changing the colour of a single pixel from a 16-colour palette. After each pixel was placed, a timer prevented the user from placing any pixels for a period of time varying from 5 to 20 minutes.
What it does
The DApp allows anyone to purchase a pixel for a fee as an NFT
How we built it
I used Tableland(https://tableland.xyz/) to store token URIs and the ERC721 token with the frontend built-in Vue and Vuetify.
Challenges we ran into
Deploying the Tableland contracts onto the fantom network as such I cannot deeply the DApp on the network until it's officially made available.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Experimenting with tablelands SQL for web3
What we learned
Decentralised storage developer tooling has a looooong way to go
What's next for Fantom Painter
Implement gamification and potentially a market place for users to purchase the pixel from each and include the ability to add anything to a Pixel so essentially a pixel will represent its own Canvas.
