Inspiration

The inspiration behind Fantom Nobles - Phase One was to create a unique NFT collection that features special characteristics and runs on the Fantom blockchain. The idea was to offer a new level of functionality to NFT collectors and enthusiasts who were looking for something innovative and exciting.

What it does

Fantom Nobles - Phase One allows users to mint Pawns and upgrade them to higher tier chess figures by obtaining additional NFTs. These NFTs can only be minted by other users, making the process of advancement challenging and rewarding. The collection offers a new interactivity level not typically found in traditional NFTs.

How we built it:

Building Fantom Nobles - Phase One was a challenging process, as we had to work within the constraints of the Fantom blockchain's unchangeable smart contract system. Our team, consisting of blockchain developers and NFT experts, collaborated to create a seamless user experience that offered both functionality and ease of use.

Challenges we ran into:

One of the main challenges we faced was the unchangeability of the smart contracts on the Fantom blockchain. This was difficult for our team, as many of us came from a background of enterprise Java code, where changes could be made at any time. Overcoming this challenge required us to think creatively and work diligently to ensure the system functioned correctly.

We are proud to have created a functional and engaging NFT collection that people have tried out and minted. The process of building Fantom Nobles - Phase One was time-consuming, but it was worth it to see the final product come to fruition.

The next step for Fantom Nobles - Phase One is to reach out to abandoned NFT collections on the Fantom blockchain and provide them with new utility. Additionally, we are exploring the possibility of creating a blockchain-based game using the framework MUD, which would add another level of interactivity to the collection. Overall, we are excited about the future of Fantom Nobles - Phase One and look forward to expanding its functionality and user base.
