I wanted to create a fantasy game with a management style overview

What it does

The game drops you into the land of a fantasy realm and you manage your characters resources

How we built it

I made a plan and story board for as many places as I could think that might be useful in a simple world things I might want to do in a more simplistic lifestyle

Challenges we ran into

Tokens run out quite fast when the project size increases, state management and storage also seem to be an issue. I wanted to add revenue cat so that players would need to buy lives like the old days of quarters and video arcade machines

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am very pleased that making something with so many locations and mostly with prompting has a functional trading system and levelling

What we learned

AI is hard work it simplifies things but if you aren't well planned you can easily fall down a rabbit hole. Planning small pieces and separating things ahead of time really made keeping sanity possible

What's next for Fantasy Quest

I would love to expand the world and add some mini games for the travelling and fight sections it would also be great to abstract the action queue mechanism so that new elements could be added through the database or with forms that would increase the number of non player characters, resources, spices and other commodities in the game
