Inspiration

Our inspiration came from the theme of the knight hacks event. Two of our team members have played Dungeons and Dragons before and knew about the characters as well.

What it does

Our project allows a user to upload a selfi of themselves and then have it edited by ai to make them look like their favorite character.

How we built it

We used react to build the front end where we used javascript to make the api call and css to style the page. Our team collaborated on the project using git hub.

Challenges we ran into

We initially intended to include a backend server side functionality to the project but we were unable to get it to work; so, we had to limit the application to only be a front end site.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to successfully connect an api to our application.

What we learned

Our team learned a lot about the two languages we used, being javascript and css.

What's next for Fantasy Lens

We plan to continue to work on it and improve it in a couple ways. First we want to make it so that the back end functions properly so we can secure the api keys. And secondly we want to continue to refine the styling of the website to make it more appealing.
