Inspiration
I was inspired to create fantasy funds when I dove deeper into what the word sustainability means. From my research, I found out about the three e’s of sustainability: economy, environment, and social equity. After narrowing in on economy, I decided to connect to a recent passion on mine in empowering financial education.
What it does
Fantasy Funds teaches children financial education in a more engaging way through a choose your own adventure style game.
How we built it
I built it through Flutterflow, a low code engine. I started by creating the scenarios the user goes through, then training the Gemini API, and lastly writing prompts for the generative AI to run and designing the app.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge I ran into was integrating the API into the app. I had issues getting the Gemini to be effectively working. I also taught it examples of inputs and outputs which took quite a while.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am very proud of the result. While it may not have the most appealing UI, the functionality and features of the app ensure effective learning from using the app.
What we learned
I learnt to never give up. At times I felt tempted to set the project down when it seemed impossible, but I reminded myself of the goal and kept trying.
What's next for Fantasy Funds
The next feature would be integrating the AI Chatbot to further personalize learning. I believe that the personalized the experience, the better and more effective the learning can be. The chatbot could ensure that each student is kept up with the concepts and applying the concepts to their real life.
