Fantasy Fight LIVE - Channel Points Integration

Inspiration

Twitch is an interactive platform so why should streams still be linear though? Why should viewers not be able to actively be PART of the stream content? We wanted to create a new experience on twitch - There you go!

What it does

FFL is an overlay for streamers where viewers can participate in interactive live duels using a twitch extension. Usually some features are locked behind bits but now many of them can also be redeemed as point rewards

How we built it

The Overlay itself is a Unity WebGL project running as a browser source in the streamers software

Challenges we ran into

Not all our perks can be made available via channel points. Also the management is webbased so we had to create a hybrid system for configuration and redemption.

What we learned

Channel points are a great resource and getting more and more attractive for developers. There are loads of possibilities and nearly no strings attached.
