Inspiration
I was inspired by the many websites and apps that lets fans interact with professional basketball, and I wanted to create a website that allows people to enjoy basketball even more.
What it does
A fantasy basketball website that lets you build your team with purchases on a marketplace where the price of the player's card changes depending on supply and demand. You can use your team that you assembled for fantasy leagues.
How I built it
I used python, flask, and HTML to build the website, and I used mongoDB for the database.
Challenges I ran into
Because this was a project that I worked on a few years ago, a challenge that I ran into was relearning how all the code worked and how the tools were used for this project. Once I got over this challenge I was able to make all the features I previously made better, and I was able to add new features as well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of the functionality of the website and the different aspects of the project that I created.
What I learned
I learned a lot working on my project this weekend like how to best interact with a database, creating a functioning website with flask, and I used what I learned in the last few years to further develop my project from what It originally was.
What's next for Fantasy Basketball Market
I want to further develop the Fantasy Basketball Market with a different approach to the marketplace and I want to make more features to utilize the user's basketball team.
