Inspiration
This was an idea I discussed with an acquaintance in 2017. I have been stewing on it ever since.
What it does
No one likes being stuck in large event traffic, looking for parking, only to face wild cardboard-sign-prices and sketchy yards. Residents also get stuck with a bunch of strangers’ cars little recourse. And we do this week after week, month after month, year after year? In 2026?
How we built it
100% AI in Cursor! I was able to compress over 275m tokens into roughly $150 in spend. Otherwise, handmade with pure vibes flowing from a scorching Apple Playlist.
Challenges we ran into
Fable 5.1 1M on Max killing $50 in 5 minutes spawning a wave of subagents. I was hoping to pull this off for less than $100. Ruined it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As a vibecoder, I’m incapable of deriving “pride” in any accomplishment driven from incessantly clicking “run” and typing “proceed”.
But if you had to wrestle me to ground and get one accomplishment out of me, it’s that “we” shipped the product whiteboard to demo in 26 hours.
What we learned
Fable 5.1 is VERY slow; cost me time. Likely would’ve dropped back to Opus 4.8 if I knew it was going to grind this long.
What's next for FanParking.Space
Customer discovery! Unfortunately, the U of L game was early Friday evening, so didn’t give a chance to actually get down and talk to some of the people parking cars.
