Inspiration
The whole ideas was to not only a device a task management system for maintainence of Fannie Mae's properties but to exercise creativity device an interface that will help Fannie Mae make loss minimizing decisions.
What it does
I learned from Fannie Mae's engineers that one of their biggest problem was to maintain the properties and prevent theft of 'copper pipes' and 'electrical appliances' from the property. FannieBae Maps Fannie Mae's properties and classifies them according to thefts and statuses. This helps predict future thefts as planned robbers follow a pattern tend to commit a crime nearby. Whereas, it also helps give hints on the robbers. If a recently vacated property was robbed/vandalized, it strongly hints that the defaulter might be behind it.
How I built it
Back-end: Node.Js Data: JSON Front End: Javascript, HTML, CSS.
Challenges I ran into
Getting the back-end in sync with the front end. I had zero past experience with Node.js and it works completely opposite to technologies I was used to working with.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Learned Node.Js in 24 hours :)
What I learned
Node.Js, Command Line, Solving a problem from top to bottom i.e. Product Design to Development.
What's next for FannieBae
Include Twilio API that will directly help the Desk Analyst communicate with the onsite Inspector through internet. Include Clarifai API that will parse through the images and help predict upcoming damages to the property such as Mould on walls, termite infection etc.
