Fanfolio: AI- Powered MLB highlights and insights

Inspiration

I've always been fascinated by the intersection of sports and technology. As a huge baseball fan, I wanted to create a project that would enhance the fan experience. When I stumbled upon the MLB-themed challenge, I knew I had to take on the task. The idea of building a personalized highlight reel generator sparked my creativity, and I was eager to dive in

What it does

Through this project, I gained hands-on experience with various technologies, including natural language processing, machine learning, and data analysis. I learned how to work with large datasets, handle complexities, and optimize performance. Moreover, I developed my problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

How we built it

I began by researching existing solutions and gathering requirements. I then designed the architecture, choosing suitable technologies and frameworks. Next, I developed the core functionality, integrating NLP and machine learning algorithms. After testing and refining the model, I created a user-friendly interface and deployed the application. Throughout the process, I iterated on feedback and made adjustments to improve the overall experience.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was handling the vast amount of data and ensuring the model's accuracy. I also encountered difficulties with natural language processing, particularly with sentiment analysis and text summarization. Additionally, I faced issues with scalability and performance optimization. However, by persisting through these challenges and seeking guidance, I was able to overcome them and deliver a functional, user-friendly application.
