Fan-Tastic Food

Fan-Tastic Food is a web app designed for use in arenas/stadiums, where the user may order food from vendors online and be notified via text

Installation

Install MongoDB
Use the package manager npm with commands npm install and npm run init to install all dependencies and initialize the application for the first time.

Usage

From Home Directory: node
In the address bar of any web browser: localhost:3000

NOTE: Twilio API implementation is limited to phones that are registered under the account ID. Phones not registered will NOT recieve any text messages.

I worked on the backend, where I helped create the database. I also helped in indexing the different objects in our database, and wrote the function used to send text messages

I worked with the backend as well, mainly dealing with linking together the frontend to the backend, which was really exciting because this was my first time ever working in Node.js.

Xavier Ruiz
I worked on creating the framework of one of our JSON scripts which included details of restaurants and arenas. I also came up with the idea behind our website. I did research in order to find information and pictures of different foods. Finally, I worked with Xavier on creating the logo for our new site.
